COMSATS Information Technology Center (CITC) proudly announces launch of
successful TECHNOMOOT event at COMSATS Abbottabad Campus. The event was
attended by large number of participants from academia and industry.
There was a huge crowd from local schools, colleges and universities.
CITC organized a seminar on current technologies and trends in I.T
sector. High profile speakers included Dr.Nadeem Kureshi and Dr.Akmal
Mahota from CASE (Center for Advanced studies in Engineering), Mr. Ahsan
Aziz GM PTCL, Mr. Yahya Sethi Senior Manager Motorola and Murtaza Noor
from HEC (Higher Education Commission). Guest speakers explored emerging
technologies in Telecommunication and defense and suggested way in which
Pakistan can gain competitive edge over neighboring countries by
developing indigenous technologies.
The event is aimed to encourage collaboration between universities and
industry. There was high profile software exhibition as well. The
exhibition included stall by companies like Nextbridge, Motorola,
DigitalSpinners, ION Resource Group, Acer, Toshiba and leading
telecommunication vendors from around the country.
CITC is providing software and hardware solutions for last eight years
to universities and business partners in the industry.
CSE 2008
CONFERENCE OF SOFTWARE ENTERPRISES 2008 was designed to take this noble cause further. It was planned to bring Academicians, CEOs of Software Companies and Industrial Executives closer and possibly several project leads were generated from this event. The participating students had a chance to mingle in with the software professionals and got a good understanding of the software products and services. On the spot CV collection and short listing was also done which then were forwarded to interested software companies.
Thirty six different companies participated in the event from all over Pakistan. The participants exhibited their projects and products which were highly appreciated by visitors from the local industry, universities, colleges, banks, hospitals and NGOs.
CSE 2007
CSE 2007 was designed to provide a common platform to Software Professionals, Academicians and Industry Executives to interact with each other. The Software Exhibition had software companies displaying their state-of-the-art solutions and products. This was an excellent opportunity for industry executives to interact with software companies and weight their potential. Academicians had an opportunity to interact with industry professionals and share their ideas and thoughts. Students and researchers were gain the most from CSE 2007. CSE 2007 was promoted exclusively to professional and trade visitors through an extensive and carefully planned multi-media campaign.
In this regard we received tremendous response from the Industry Companies from Islamabad, Peshawar, Lahore & Abbottabad exhibited their products in the event. More than 70 Software professional from about 30 Companies exhibited their products. Among them few are given below:

CSE 2006, HISTORY OF PROMOTING IT IN LOCAL INDUSTRY
More than 30 leading IT companies participated in the exhibition and displayed their state-of-the-art solutions. In CONFERENCE OF SOFTWARE ENTERPRISES 2006, Visitors from different sectors of the local market visited the exhibition and showed their keen interest. The objective was to provide a common platform to software vendors and customers which was successfully achieved. The exhibition carried on for two days and ended with a closing ceremony in which all the exhibitors were awarded with the souvenirs.
